SACHA MATHIESON

Operations Manager

Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Sacha moved to Alberta with nothing but a Greyhound bus ticket and a backpack. That move marked the start of his career in line locating and a lifelong respect for protecting critical infrastructure.

Sacha’s dedication to safety and damage prevention has been formally recognized within the industry. He is the recipient of the 2020 Bruce Wilson Contractor Safety Award from the EAPUOC and was part of the damage prevention team that earned the 2015 Excavator of the Year (Gas) award from the ORCGA. These recognitions reflect his belief that strong safety culture is built through preparation, accountability, and consistent execution.

Outside of work, Sacha enjoys spending time outdoors with his partner, Melissa, and their dog, Chuppy, who was adopted from Mexico. Whether biking, exploring new trails, or taking advantage of any opportunity to be outdoors, Sacha values balance and brings that same grounded mindset into his leadership at TCB.

At his core, Sacha believes line locating is about far more than markings on the ground, it’s about protecting communities, infrastructure, and the people who rely on both. That belief continues to shape his leadership and defines TCB as a company built on technical expertise, accountability, and respect for the infrastructure it protects.
